Well I do hope I get a chance to install it before I sell it. I did not get that chance with the Enviro, but I do have a satisfied customer there.

Anyway, I do like a perdy install so I will certainly let you guys know if I do install it soon!

How did you conclude from the information in the story that it was a bad install and that the homeowner hadn't set/stored combustibles next to the vent?

You could be right but installing the vent pipe under the deck probably contributed to this problem especially if the installer knows trash may be kept there also. So 2 wrongs do not make a right, they make fire!
