Question:

Hi, I have a new wood stove and I notice I get some blue flames. Is this good and means the system is burning clean or what??? Thanks

Answer:

Yes, that is probably a secondary burn of the wood gas and indicates an efficient burn. Most stoves will get mixtures of both yellow and blue flames at different times of the burn.
