Found a used one for $1000. Supposedly only used to split one tree. Are troy builts good or bad and is $1000 a good price if in good to excellent shape?

UPDATE: bought the splitter. V's or splits and knotty pieces were no match for it. First time ever using a hydraulic splitter. The heck with a maul.

If in excellent shape i would say thats a good deal.

There are a very good splitter. 1500.00 new just a few years ago. You can find them for around 1300.00 new now.
