I have a Quadra Fire 1200 pellet insert stove. Does anyone have experience burning corn in this make and model? If so, what is your experience? Like, dislike. Any problems?

Thanks,
Vic

There are possible corrosion issues with corn. There should be some guys around shortly that can elaborate on that.

Burns hotter than wood pellets
also need a chimney that will handle the corrosive gases
A different burn pot is also needed
Not worth the hassles to convert
Buy a stove made to burn corn or multi fule.

We mixed 50/50 with pellets no other changes were needed(maybe feed door was adjusted). More clinker more frequent cleaning. You checked the price of corn lately?
