Hello new friends of hearth.com. I am trying to decide between a few liners for my wood burning insert install.

Background: Regency CI2600 insert with about a 15' masonry chimney (13x13 at the top) I plan on burning through most of the winter and will attempt to make the insert my primary heat source. I can always fall back on my heat pump though if I get lazy.

The two liners I am trying to functionally compare is the Olympia Forever Flex Hybrid Pre-insulated and the Flex King HD. Both liners are listed at a steel thickness of .010 yet the Forever Flex Hybrid can be had preinsulated (less work) for about $100 less than the Flex King HD. I was initially going to go with the Flex King HD because it looked like the closest to heavy-flex (Armor flex is .015 for comparison) but alas you fine people can probably tell me what I am missing if anything. If I should just bite the bullet and get Armor Flex let me know but also include a link to where I can buy it in <25ft sections. :)

Links for reference.

The hybrid will work fine with that stove as long as you have good wood and burn correctly

Thanks for the quick reply bholler. I plan to take all of the best practice recommendations I have gathered from lurking here.

I have been floating the idea of getting a cat temp probe for optimization purposes.
