I am nice and warm today when it is 5*f outside with my pellet stove, but a friend is in a Levitt house with a fireplace open to living room and kitchen.

Who manufacturers a two-sided insert so he does not have to close up one side?

I am trying to get him to jump even if it means closing the kitchen side, but either he is foolish or his wife is stubborn!

Thanks for the help,

Bill

I've never heard of one, would take some out of the box thinking.

Also, hello fellow Long Islander!

I know someone with a similar problem - whoever invented the 2-sided fireplace did the world no favor.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't think there would be one. Maybe someone else will chime in with thoughts and ideas.

2 inserts installed back to back?
