Caulking hot pipe

    I insulated basement copper pipes with foam tubes. Is it ok to use caulking around a small area of pipe where it penetrates a foundation wall or will the heat melt or burn the caulking?

    Silicone caulk will be fine, but if you are worried use high temp silicone.
