I've seen these ....... there a joke and 1000 sf is way over stated . They are really tiny . Menards sells them for $250. Did you measure it out ? 20.5" wide!? That would almost fit into my stove. They stand around knee height.

    20-1/2" x 22-1/2" x 26-1/2"

    18" log capacity

Heats up to 1000 sq. ft.

    Heavy plate steel

    EPA approved

Please check state and local restrictions before purchasing installing or selling wood burning stoves

I doubt Roospike that you've seen an EPA approved stove for 250$. Maybe you have. I dunno. The EPA exempt stoves are around that price. I think if you only wanted to heat a small house or say a family room that this stove would be great. The Century line is backed up by Vermont Castings. Not everyone needs to own a Pacific Summit. It also seems to be more efficient I think than the summit too. ;-)

Just saw that one at Menards - $349. It is really small, but I bet it makes decent heat if you're around to feed it regularly.

Nah. Ya gotta pay $1,200 for a Jotul Nordic if you want a little stove. The word Jotul on the front makes it warmer.

And it does a trick. The one in the office dropped the cast iron baffle on top of a burning load of wood last night.

I put this stove in a 16x20 family room and have been very happy with it. Heats very well, though the room is only about 300 sf it does have a 13 foot cathederal ceiling. Takes alot of tending because of the smaller firebox but perfect for one room, or small home heating . The back wall clearance is 13 " so when I bought this stove I figuered if I did'nt like it I would replace it with a Lopi Partiot or something small but for the price I'm going to keep it and see how it hold up, been using it since October and no prob. so far.
