I just picked up a new Stihl MS391 with a 25 inch bar last week. Love the saw, way more power than my old 026 (which is in the shop for a rebuild). Only thing is, I hate the anti-kickback chain. It heats the bar, and is a PITA to sharpen. It also doesn't cut the way I feel the saw should. I'm going to replace it today and am looking for advise.
I cut 5-8 cords a year, all softwood (mostly Doug Fir), mostly 12-18" diameter (still love the longer bar, don't have to bend over as much!). I have the occasional 2' plus to cut now and then. I'm planning a chisel tooth, but question rather to go full complient, semi-skip or skip tooth. Any advise is much appreciated.
