China stoves are good for the lower end - but if you want real quality - Go with a north american manufacturer that manufacture in north america - many now are manufacturing in China and Mexico -

Of course, you do know that many (many MOST) N. American makers such as Travis, HHT (Harman, Quad), US Stove, American Energy and so on make castings or entire stoves in China?
It's tough to sort out these days......
