Question:
Craig- Recetly bought a cabin in the woods. Previous owner had a wood stove in the basement but took it with them. The wall behind where the stove was located is natural stone and after they took the stove out apparently- water came down the chimney and has badly stained the stone. We have tried many different remidies with no good results. It looks awful and sure would like to get it off. Help!!
Answer:
Can be tough - but try:Mr. Muscle Oven Cleaner or Speedy White (available at many Hearth and fireplace stores)...some people say theyÕve had good luck with baking soda and water paste.
