Hello All,

I am currently looking into retrofitting closed cell insulation around the outer walls of my house. Would this change the clearances to the wood stove? Is there any reason to not spray foam the wall adjacent to the stove?

What is the inside wall made of? If it is drywall that would be your closest combustible to the stove and the stove should have enough clearance to the drywall that it would not matter what you do behind it. Essentially the same is true if you have wooden studs in the walls.

The combustible distance from stove to wall if sheetrock will not change.
