    Question:

    I'm seeking information on combination wood/gas fireplace units. I'm looking for a description of what I would face for installation of a fireplace in an outside wall. I'd appreciate any leads you could offer me.



    Answer:

    I know of no units which burn both gas and wood in the same fireplace. You can convert any wood fireplace to gas, or use a gas starter in a wood fireplace...but there are no combo units on the market
