I know diffent woods have different BTU ratings, but are BTU ratings based upon non-gasification meaurements? By this I mean were these tables developed before more modern stoves were developed to burn off these gases?
I ask as I seem to get significantly more reburn with certain woods, and these aren't always the ones at the top of the BTU charts. My stove really puts out the heat during this reburn and I love it. But the wood I'm burning is Alianthus/Tree of Heaven (I know) and it produces reburn like I'm pumping propane out my reburn chamber.
