Just picked up a "Condar 3-4 temp. guage". Hearth dealer said it would work for monitoring stove temps. Where should I put it? OK, OK lay it on... But this on an old Timberline, and dead nuts in the midle of the step top, it reads higher than the stack temp. Side placement? Looking for recommendations, and a ration of grief.
