Confused bugs?

This is coming out of my hickory, I think he's confused. I don't have any locust in my stacks.

I have only cut one hickory tree in my adult life, and every stick was full of them by the end of summer. Nuisance more than anything, and kinda messy.

The only real problem is that they keep coming out once the wood warms in the house! Caught three so far.

Well at least they are smaller than mice....

From the article ":There are several other species in the genus that can be confused with these two, but they do not occur in eastern parts of North America." I have bugs like that running around on my mulberry stacks. I'm not using my ashes for the garden so I spray them with insecticide in the spring.

I got one of them in my house today, got him before it went to far.

Well they look really bad and my wife always freaks out when one comes out of the wood, but they won't hurt your house.
