Question:

I am also thinking of replacing our old Jotul #6 but I'm confused with some comparisons. For example, Dovre rate their stoves in Kilowatts but others use BTU's. I am told that my Jotul #6 produces about 12 KW. What would this be in BTU's/hour?

Answer:

Multiply the KW (Kilowatts or thousands of watts) by about 3.5 for BTU.
