cutting wood, log holder needed

farm show paper just had a pic of one sold by Stihl in Germany. It was a metal angle iron frame with v notch ln the left side. abotu a foot outside of that there was another V shaped thing upside down over the top. The log stuck in like this crude sketch. Cantilevered out in space to cut if off. Appeared more for 6 inch or smaller, and maybe 6 ft long. Might be good for a hand saw where handling is a few seconds, then a lot of hand cutting, but seemed like a lot of handling when using a power saw when cutting is just a few sec onds.
