defiant lower heat shield question

    Setting up my new defaint stove and while getting ready to install the lower heat shield i noticed a kind of semi cut circle in it towards the back of it. Seems like its made to be cut out for some application. No mention in the instructions on what or when to cut it anyone have an answer
