I trust you saw my negative comments in the thread you started but then it was not based on personal experience. IMHO the ashtrapper has a better lid and handle design.

I like the design of that one myself.. Being smaller seems like a benefit to me.. Personally I just use a shovel and ashbin and try to be careful however I usually end of banging the shovel with it full on the way out of the stove lol.. No biggy just clean it up after and what can go wrong with a shovel?
