Is there a difference between the steel and vermiculite baffle plates on the Jotul Oslo? Better performance with the vermiculite? Can a stove with the steel plates be retrofitted with the vermiculite plate easily? Thanks

Regarding the avatar , six months ago we had a guy in the ambulance who had chainsawed the top arch of his foot, right through his boots and down to the bone because he was doing what we all do; holding the wood with one foot while cutting. Makes you think. Be safe.
