So....If your facing the stove....putting your logs in lengthwise(ends facing you) is North to South. Which is the North...which is the South...the front of the stove or the back of the stove...even tho I'm looking Southwest??? Thanx Jeff
. . .or you could say N-S = 0 deg and E-W = 90 deg. If you want to label the stove or something, N would be the back. S would be the front. . .you could just as well call it S-N though.

Rottiman...your so funny! I guess that would depend on whether there was moss on it or not. I've always considered as North as being the big Daddy for relationship. When I look to the North... my right arm faces the east...my left to the west and my rear to the South. And as Den says...the rear would be to the North??? haha
