I recently recieved 4 tons of the Spruce Point pellets for use with my new Harman Accentra Insert. Does anyone have any experience with these pellets? I know that they are 100% softwood and that they are manufactured by Caldwell Manufacturing in Canada. Anyway, thay are already in the basement so I have to burn them no matter what the feedback. I'm really just looking to put my mind at ease that they will be a decent pellet.

I have burned a few times in the past few weeks when the outside temps dropped to 38 degrees and they seem to burn fine. If anyone has more than 2 bags worth of experience with this brand I'd appreciate your opinion.

Thanks!

If they are burning fine for you, then I am sure you won't have any problem. My only experience with softwood pellets has been with Freedom Fuel. They seem to produce way too much ash.

softwood is supposed to be a better pellet,I am burnin both types as softwood is not prevalent here in CT
