Does the Cap, on top of my Chimney, become coated faster than the rest of my piping? I wondered that because of a comment in another thread.
It would seem to make some sense, since the smoke is forced to divert direction at that point.
I guess I'm just wondering if the "Cap" needs more of a vigilant "watching" than the rest of the system. Any merit to having IT checked more frequently, (say, mid-winter?)?
