I installed the support bracket right under the outside thimble. The support bracket does fit into the tee but not all the way up. It has about 3/4" to hit the bottom of the collar. The only way I can see it working is if the support bracket's upper holes are behind the thimble. But then there's now way to lag bolt the support.
Same type of issue with the straps. I have to screw them off the the side of the thimble on a angle.
What am I doing wrong?
