I'm trying to gather information about using the heatilator chimney pipe for a wood stove. I am told it is a 300 series double wall pipe. Is there a reason I can't just line that 8" pipe for a stove. I've been told that even with an insulated liner it would not be rated for use with a stove. I find that hard to believe. Anyone else have any experience with a pre fab fireplace chimney and changing to insert or wood stove?
