I'm buying a house with this wood stove in it. Can anyone tell me about this stove?

That's an old wood furnace installed without the outlet ductwork.

Plan on buying a wood stove if you want to heat with wood. Not that the furnace won't make heat, it's just going to do a bad job at being a stove, if you compare it to a stove.

Also plan on modifying the hearth, which is probably too small to fit all but the smallest of wood stoves (and is definitely too small to fit a small furnace).
