P43 is soon to be 3 years old. The exterior is needing some TLC. What do you all use to spiff up your stoves?? Need to paint, but that will have to wait till spring now. Looked at stove black, and was going to order some till at bottom said was for unpainted surfaces only.
Is there a stove black anywhere that would work on the painted surface, or could I just use like an olive oil to wipe it down?
What do you all do?

If your intention is to paint it in the spring, I'd be hesitant to put anything on there. You could have all sorts of problems getting the paint to adhere/cure if there's a layer of something still on there come springtime. If you did find a product for now, you could always wipe it down with xylene or something when yer ready to paint...but you never know what will become of it after a winter of hard stove use. Maybe it'll come right off, maybe you'll be sanding for a long time.
