Woke up today and poured myself a coffee.
Passed Stove on way to Living room couch.
Opened hopper and piled up pellets over auger (as I usually do)
Noticed what I thought was a twig sticking up out of pile.
Pulled it out and was surprised to see that it was soft and pliable.
It is about 3-1/2" long. Here it is next to a normal sized Bic Lighter.
I'm guessing it is a chunk of mouse or rat.
Honestly not completely sure. It could also be a string of calking.
Whatever it is it has been pressed flat.

I have been running newer Red/Black Okanagan's for the last week or so.

Just a heads up.

Looks like caulking used to seal the hopper.

Watch out nailer, Mr. Warm sees this and you'll get an extra BTU charge.

I got an email from Mr. Warm and he kiddingly said.

No extra charge…….!!!
;-)

Nailer, If it isn't from the stoves hopper, Let us know! We'll send some hate mail to him! :cheese:

Guys,

In the spirit of Sunday's Game
Upon further review.........

I think Wachusett is on to something.
I pulled out my old microscope and the sample seems to be of a uniform rubbery material (i.e. no bones/flesh)
So I am ruling out animal parts.
It is of a slightly different color than my hopper sealing.
This is more dark grey vs the hopper black.
Looking around my hopper I don't see any missing chunks/strings.
Not saying is isn't from my stove but I don't see where it could have come from.

As NH Jim said it does appear to resemble the "Flying Elvis"

I'll take that as a positive forecast of the Superbowl.

Go Pats!
