This mild weather will probably leave many further ahead on 2012-2013 wood than they thought. Should also save some people money on heating. I'll take both!
We had a winter exactly like this in 06/07. I put the new stove in in the Fall and sweated us out of the joint all winter playing with it and getting used to burning in it.
We just decided not to even load the stove in the AM when it's 40 or higher, and I'm not reloading at night either. I don't know how, but we seem to get really good solar gain during the days. Odd year for sure, but it's ok. Good first year with the stove since we didn't have a wood stockpile to start with.
