Is it safe to use fireplace cement on firebricks? I’m replacing my firebrick panels but don’t want to replace the bottom one. Some of it was cracking. Is it safe to have just filled it in with the cement?

What product was used? See how well it holds up over the season.

Though I don't know how well it will stand up, it will be safe.
