Swapping out a Avalon Astoria for an Avalon AGP. The manual says AGP requires a 3 " flue. Problem is the flue that is there already is a 4" type L. Does anyone see a problem with using a 3-4" adapter and venting in 4" rather than changing the complete flue setup?
It shows you can use an adapter into a class A flue system, I dont see much difference.
Any thoughts?

This is my opinion...... And may be wrong.

But I believe 4" vent to be far superior to 3" and ANY install should be done with 4" (if you can afford it).

I say buy the 3"-4" adapter and run what you brung....

I used to also have an Astoria, and when I switched to the 10-cpm, I used a 3"--->4" adapter....works great! No worries.

I have an Avalon Astoria with the 4" and I also agree, go with the 3" to 4" adapter and you are good to go.
