Cannot take credit because I found this on Arborist but they all are buying them. My guess is old stock that just didn't sell. Heck, if you live near Dundee you could get it without paying shipping but it would probably cost you shipping in gas to drive from here. Not to mention tha extra I would end up spending in the bargan cave.

Really don't want one. I carry the saws in the trailer most of the time. Sometimes I'll strap one on the front but it is in a case so no problem.

Bob, we also now have a Cabela store in Saginaw so we won't have to make that long drive down to Dundee. That store just opened and although it is a small store, like you mentioned, ship free to the store and pick it up there.

For that price, it looks like a deal. Even if you had to customize (oh darn, thats no fun...;)) it for your specific application. Thanks for sharing!

Cool. Just ordered one. Thanks for the link.

The previous owner of my quad had the racks powder coated. They look really nice and I hate scratching them. This should help.

Mine came in the mail today! Put one together and the only thing I didnt like is the soft sleeve. I was looking on my ipad when I ordered and didnt see the soft cover. O well Im planning on picking up a 20" bar cover and tack it on there to replace the soft sleeve. Heck for $7 it was well worth it.

What is the sleve made out of? And, do you have any pix better than what they had on the website? Just curious. It still looks like a heck of a deal. Even if, like I said before, you get to (I mean have to ;) ) customize!

Im not at home to take a pic but its like a thick canvas sleeve. Then the bracket pinches the bar to hold it in place with a bolt. Just a few more steps then I want to go through each time I load the saw onto the wheeler. My plan is to put a plastic 20" bar cover in there and screw it to one side of the bracket. I could still tighten the bracket to make sure the saw wont come out, but would be much faster to load. (note from talking to someone that used a similar mount, drill a hole in the bottom of the bar cover to let water drain out)

I would guess the creater had an idea for an accessory but was not a saw user - hence the units not selling at MRP and later going for the low price to liquidate a rather poor design. But, like everyone else here, I like to tinker and love a good deal. Great idea to add a drain hole. Another thing someone who actually used things would have designed into the original.

Got mine in and installed. No a bad setup especially for the price. Powder coating looks OK. Holds solid and easy to install.

    Will post a pic later.

Pretty crappy pics, but you get the idea. I'm not sure if this will be the final mounting location or if I'll modify anything. Just wanted to slap it on there and see how it looked. The assembly above the part that mounts to the rack is removable without tools (one hand-nut) so that's nice because it does stick up quite a bit. 2013-02-24_20-12-25_827.jpg 2013-02-24_20-13-01_124.jpg
