Blower started making noise, so I decided to do what I think is a deep cleaning.

Good news is , I think it's the new blower (round).

Bad news, I did not know what to do once I pulled the sove out. from what I could see, The fan looked clean.
Do I need to completely remove it to properly clean it??

More bad news...My new mantel was finished, so I brought it home!! Stain does not match...Even more bad news...The stain matches perfectly to the piece of wood that I had the guy match!! Even my fat pooch is sad!!

Feeling sorry for me yet???

Well I am not finished, Yesterday I went to pick up a trailer that I won on Ebay. Drove 2.5 hours and the trailer was not as advertised. Was supposed to be 12,500 GVWR, But was only 7,000 GVWR. So I came home trailerless! And to boot, they spent my $450.00 deposit. I will get it back, But now you will understand why this email reads like it was composed by a guy that may have been drinking beer!!!

Well look at it this way.

Tomorrow has to be better. ;-P

Dont look to bad.... I cant tell. ;-P

What noise is it making? Is it a bearing? Out of balance?

Is that motor oilable?

sorry to hear, Eatonpcat.

My convection motor is also making noise, but I am not sure what to do, either. these units are sealed bearing, so you can't add lube. though i did read someone else with an M55 who used motor oil on some part of the convection and it worked. will have to try.

let me know what happens.

i am sure J will chime in, being he knows these motors really well.

Thanks Dex...Didn't tell me you were a blind man!!! %-P

Manual says no oil.

Noise doesn't sound like a bearing to me, out of balance doesn't seem correct either. To tell the truth, it kinda sounds like it used to, but much louder. Maybe has a high pitch whistle that is a new sound.

Thanks Smoke, if these are my only problems, I am doing alright!!

Vinny, Please let me know if you figure it out also!!

Tear the fugger out and clean it, prolly full of fat pooch hair. ;-P

What are you complaining about? It looks as though the dog is doing all the work! :cheese:

Hope you get it all straightened out quickly! Doggie looks cold!

Hit the trim on that wall with one coat of minwax cherry ployshades...satin finish and your trim and mantle will exist peacefully. I know....I was a color matching specialist in a previous life. Test a section, wipe it off right away if you dont like it. You just need to be slightly more brown. Secound thought it may be provincial pine or a provincial cherry mix. The rest of the trim in the room may match okay since the light hits them from different planes.
