I know I probably should top cover, just never got around to it. Since I might need to burn some soon, figured I would cover as best I could because of the storm about to hit! I think I was more concerned about my wood than anything else outside. Anyone else?

Good job. I try to keep the tarps on my piles only on the tops. Around the sides it will only keep moisture from escaping. OK for the ends to get wet by rain- repeatedly. Don't worry about that. But let those ends breathe. Find something to weigh it down to put at various points along the edges of the tarps. I use rocks, bricks, or wood chunks. All work fine.

Covered mine the best I could also using the knarly pieces on top....not sure if it'll hold, but gotta try. Got a face cord in the garage, should be enough to last a while as the temps are still pretty mild

Anchor it well.
70MPH winds will find any week spot & take the tarps to NH or ME .

I use to use tarps, never found a way to hold up in high winds here.
Ripped, shreaded or gone is what happened to mine.

Good luck

rkofler,
Finished getting the last of mine covered last Sunday. I don't expect these tarps to last very long either. Just hope they get me through this season till I get some kind of wood shed.
Take care,
Tim
