Hi been thinking about ordering heat emmiters for my house. I am leaning towards low temp hydronic base board but was wondering if I should be putting in panels instead. Is there a big difference in usable temps of water.
Can't do In floore radiant for numerouse reasons. Just wanted to hear some opinions before I order any thing. Any recommended brands? Thanks J.T.

Fin tube type of baseboard gives off heat by convection. Cool air from the floor is drawn through the element, heated and discharged out the top.

Panel radiators, depending on the brand and style, give off heat by radiation and convection. They perform like like a mini radiant wall. Their output is based on the temperature of the supply. The manufacturers all have output charts based on temperature supplied to them.

They can easily be fit with thermostatic radiator valves TRV to regulate the output at every radiator if desired. Price varies based on thickness of the metal, design, paint or coating and size.

Most common and easy to find brands are Buderus, Dianorm, Myson, Runtal, Veha, and Jaga. but there are many others available. Beware of really inexpensive brands, they are paper thin material.

Jaga has an interesting fan assembly that fits on many of their styles. It can run with as low as 90 °F supply. Nice for solar powered heat. It has a small microprocessor that provides indoor reset, boost, and temperature control. You do need a 120v plug, or wire them with a 12V feed from a central transformer. It basically turns them in to a forced convector, nearly doubling their output. Whisper quiet "muffin" fans vary their speed based on supply temperature.
