Taking a guess, it may have been made on the 52 day of the year 2002?

Thanks, I'm just trying to figure this out as the person I purchased it from recently had thought it was made 2022 as they were told this when they purchased it from another seller, is there any possibility it was made in 2022 and if not what would be the telling signs? Just trying to figure this out with the seller but they are looking for more info. Thank you

Without looking at anything I would have assumed it was 0522, 05/22, May of 2022.
But after looking at the thread bgreen posted, probably not.

More concerning maybe is what looks like a large crack along the top of the tag in the back plate. That should be investigated before any attempt to run the stove.

Probably shouldn’t have surface rust on a stove made 5/22.

If everything else checks out, you might contact VC and see about a replacement back plate. They should also be able to send you a manual and tell you the date. They will probably need the date code and SN to order the back plate anyway.
