    Question:

I need to cut black single wall stove pipe and am interested in the best way to do it. Would tin snips, hack saw or metal cut off wheel in a circular saw be the easiest and neatest?

    Answer:

If it is snap-lock pipe, then tin snips will do the job well. If it is welded seam pipe, a hacksaw with the proper blade may do best. Electric shears are really nice, but too expensive except for the full time pro.
