Humidifier Question

    I have a 2000 sq ft house 2 stories. Now downstairs next to the stove a good size humidifier and then a 1000 sq foot one i put in our bedroom. Would the humidifier have a good effect if i moved it by the stairs where the heat comes up. Having the humidifier in that room makes it alittle colder and takes up some space.
