Englander as well as most others recommend a layer of ash on floor of units, its in the manual. Ya I know , no one ever reads those. As far as the ash drawer on the 13 and 30, mostly useless, it is not a sealed or tightly fitting item nor is it of a depth that is useful for purpose intended. But I still like my 30 and so do the gals in my avatar.
