Where I live in NE PA we are in the midst of a natural gas rush. Last week one of the pipeline companies clear cut a 60x1500 foot swath through my neighbors' woods, and the nice lady that she is, told them to pile the logs up for me for firewood. I can't begin to guess how many cords we are talking about, but I think it will be years of 24/7 burning to get through it. Most of the trees aren't big enough for saw logs, but it should add up. Mostly sugar maple, some cherry, some ash.
