I recently purchased a Fisher XL and am unable to find an owners manual or installation guidelines for this stove. I previously owned a grandpa bear but am unable to find any specs for the XL. Can someone help me out?

Welcome to the forum!

I found this thread for you: https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/fisher-xl-questions.80634/

If Coaly does not know whether a manual existed for the stove then there is most likely none. You will then have to go with NFPA clearances for an unlisted stove which are 36" in all directions. You can reduce those down to 12" with suitable wall shields. This link will help: https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/articles/wood_stove_clearances_installing_it_safely

However, ask your local building authority what their requirements are for unlisted stoves as they are the ultimate authority in this. Check also what your home insurance thinks about an unlisted stove although when you had a Fisher before they may be ok with it.
