I put in a brand new cat, refractory and probe last week in my Dutchwest 2183. I didn't have the interam gasket so it went in without it. I'm getting great heat but it doesn't last. Cat seems to top out at 1,000 degrees. The room gets really hot, as well.

I'm thinking if I can find the interam gasket that might solve my problem.

Also, I didn't check the gasket around the bypass. Could this be why I'm getting so much heat?
