Well, looks like I will have a lot of scrounging opportunites. I have a neighbor that has a huge oak down across her private road. Road crew is gonna clear the way, hopefully they will not butcher it up to much. I will probably have more wood than I can handle since we basically live right beside a national forest. Lots of tree are gonna be down.
 
One good thing about the storms is the firewood they can provide. Hope all is well down there.
 
Saw an alert, a dam was failing. Emergency evacuations going on.
Hope all OK there.
 
The dam that was failing was futher south of us. We had weather from mid Wednesday to yesterday afternoon. Had some 30 mph winds with higher gusts. It had rained a good bit before the winds got here, saturated the soil, and allowed some trees to be blown over. We lost power yesterday for about 4 hours. Lots of rain!
