A neighbor who knew I burned wood called late last week and said he had a "couple" cords of pine I could have if I wanted it. Only catch was he needed his backyard cleared out by Monday. Well here's some pictures of a "couple" cords :) .....took me three days with my sons helping this weekend. I figure 6-7 cords. On the upside some of it is Norway Pine which has decent btu's. Guess I'll be mixing a bit more pine with my good wood the next few years than I thought!

Haha, Jack, thanks for the tips on how to load pictures! My kids think I am the guy from the movie "close encounters of the third kind", you know they guy who builds hills out of mash potatoes, dirt and yard debris, etc. My oldest always hums the tune from that movie and just shakes his head.....

Yup, it's times like this I thank god he gave me sons. Needless to say it was a long weekend with me finishing up today. My wife was awesome too, keeping us and the animals fed and watered! Next step is keep splitting and stacking and hope like heck to beat the snow predicted for Thursday.

Betting that you would thank God for daughters as well . . . not all daughters live as little princesses . . . some women can do just as much as a guy . . . heck, there's one firefighter here that I think could easily out-work, bench press, etc. over 3/4 of the guys here . . . she's very hard core . . . even owns her own Cross Fit Gym.

I agree 100%! I probably should of said " healthy hard working kids" ....(Technically not really kids, but they kinda will always be to me) I thank god every day for my wonderful family. I am a very blessed man :)

Nice stash of wood there. Funny how when people buy wood, they sometimes get shortchanged, but when it's free, the "miscalculation" goes the other way.......;)
