Hello All

If the Wood Shed Forum can show their Wood Piles >> https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/58374/

Then we can show who has more BTUs on all of our Pellet Pallets!!

I did more research and found:
1 Ton of Pellets are equal to approx 1.5 cords of wood!

From web site >> http://www.space-heater-reviews.com/a/wood-pellet-stoves.shtml
In fact according to Jamie's notes a ton of pellets is roughly equivalent to about 1.5 cords of wood. To see what that means to you, take the cost of a cord and a half of wood and stack that up (no pun intended) against the price of a ton of pellets. I suspect you'll find pellets come out on top.

The heavy duty pallats were used in delivering printing presses so the 1.5 tons will hold up!

Below are my 3 tons! 1.5 in the garage and 1.5 in the basement! All are Logik-e brand

NOW SHOW US YOURS!!

havent done the math & it would depend on the wood but even 1.5 cord sounds high for hardwood cord.

Wonder if this is a reference to the ever popular, but totally meaningless, "FACE CORD"? How much wood is in a face cord if ya cut yer wood 1" long?

I'm stacked for several winters.

I note a distinct lack of artistic license with the pellet storage people. Why has no one constructed any furniture, or some intersting design (like a helix)?

Just waiting to be put away.
Was 42 this AM but still 70 in the house.
Fired the stove up just to make sure there were no bees etc in the pipes.
Will do final checkout/cleaning shortly.
I think we started burning mid October the last 2 years.
