Just a noise I heard today. Wind is blowing between 20-30 mph so draft is better than usual.
Anyways I built a fire awhile ago and noticed a rumble in the stovetop/chimney area. The fire
wasnt hot enough to get the afterburn going, but the flames were building nicely.
Basically Im asking how the Castine is made, if the flames go directly to the chimney or is there
an internal baffle?

There is a baffle above the secondary manifold. The exhaust goes around the front of this, then across to the back of the stove and up the flue.

If you look up into the stove you will see the baffle above the burn tubes. The fire exhaust exits up at the front .
When it lights up in there get down low and look up towards the immediate front . The noise is probably from the wind.
