Well I've been burning everyday this winter. The past week or two the air lever has felt not as smooth. Now today it feels totally different almost as if each movement I'm moving a gear. Still easy to move but feels and sounds ratchety to me.

Anyone experience? It's still functional so I'm not super worried.

I'm in my first year with the F55 and I've noticed the same thing with the air control lever. Some days it seems to stick more than others. Not sure what is causing it.

I noticed the diffrence after a hot burn.

I may take it apart and look at it in the next day or two.

The only thing that is confusing me a little it seems to be a slide not gears and I can feel and hear something diffrent.

To be up front . . . I'm not familiar with the air control in these two stoves, but with the Oslo the sticking air control lever is pretty common . . . but also pretty easy to fix. Perhaps the air controls with these models is similar. If you can access the air control try sprinkling some powdered graphite in to or around the mechanism.
