Got my 550 installed today. Had the dealer install it since it only took them 1.5 hrs and a bit more piece of mind than if I had installed it myself. Need to refrain from starting a fire in it since its 90 out, but the first night its cool Im lighting her up.

looks great. nice choice.

That's a fine looking install, and you will love it this winter.

Sharp looking . . . what are the holes in the stones for?

The fireplace was built for "no insert" operation originally. Those holes are the air outlets from the fans that are located behind the grates on the lower parts for air circulation. I can use them as well to move air for this.

Congratulations on the install. That is a great looking hearth, kinda wish I had a hearth as pretty as that. Mine is all brick, its nice, but not exactly what I would've chosen.
I too am anxious to get the Rockland fired up.

Elegant, I think, is the word I'll choose to use to describe my reaction to your photo. Very nice looking, indeed. Be sure to post a pic of the first burn for us to enjoy vicariously. Rick

When winter rolls around you might want to move those candles.
