just bought me a timbertuff chain grinder..havent even messed with it yet...i will be sharpening chains for a 460 and a 170....any hints or must know stuff before i get started?..i read...30/60...but what is the gullet suppose to be set to..i read 0 and 90

I have been very happy with mine. I use the the 30/60 settings and I think 10d for the gullet....cant remember. I have propbably done about 30 chains on mine now and the best advise I can give is to use VERY SHORT taps on the chain, just enough to make the tooth look clean. Hold too long and you could damage the chain. Dont forget the rakers also. I just take mine down by hand with a flat file every couple sharpenings.
